Speaker O'Brien and his fellow union buster, Neal Kurk are making another run at Right to Work. Sure, HB 474 is dead - BUT- HB 383 is being resurrected, and will be voted upon on January 4, 2012.
This bill HB 383 has been held in committee since 3/9/11. Then suddenly on 11/2/11 the bill left committee and will be taken up on the House Floor on 1/4/12. One of the last bills that will br brought up in the closing of the 2011 session will be another Right To Work bill. This one is a little different, but the premise is still the same.

This bill as submitted goes right for the State Employees. As you can see this bill is worded very badly. They are trying to say that anytime the membership of the State Employee's Association (SEIU 1984) exceeds 60% of all eligible employee's will make it ilegal to collect an agency fee. Remember that in order to form a Union, you must have 51% of the eligible employee's vote for sole representation from the Union.
This is Right To Work all over again, just a different name. There is also nothing stopping the house members from amending this bill remove the 60% number or removing any of the language about State Employees making it the same as HB 474. So here we go again.
This bill is like a hydra. Rip off it's arm, and back it grows. It seems the O'Brien junta hasn't gotten the message yet. NH doesn't want RTW.
