But some good news! Murdoch is so out of touch, he's going the way of the UL.

The chairman of the Senate Banking Committee on Tuesday unveiled a sweeping regulatory reform bill that would strip the Federal Reserve of nearly all of its power to oversee banks, setting up a possible clash with the Obama administration, which has argued for the central bank to play a pivotal role in addressing financial threats.

Good.
I like how The Hill calls the Republicans "skeptical centrists."
And this quote is priceless.
"This is not like healthcare, and it's not like climate change," said Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.). "We all want to see a really good bill pass."
Any comment on it, Mr. Tapper?
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Republican leaders in a South Carolina county have censured their own U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham for working with Democrats on a climate bill and other legislation. The Republican has often worked with Democrats in Congress, but Charleston County Chairwoman Lin Bennett says his work on climate legislation is the last straw.

Tangentially: Was the Inquirer always a rag? I seem to remember it having a good reputation.
But really, they just come off as sanctimonious. And do any of them do anything other than sit in front of TeeVee cameras?
Lindsay Graham is cloying and annoying. But he also is one of the few Republican leaders to tell the birthers and the haters to 'cut the crap' and instead disagree respectfully on honest policy policy differences. There are clear lines on things like torture and climate change that separate him from almost all GOP Senators.
And Joe Lieberman? Um... have to get back to you when I can come up with a redeeming quality. "But, in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope." Si se puede. Yes we can.
He calls it an "inadvertent" mistake.
The notion that a TV show would confuse fresh footage with footage from months ago is, at best, a huge stretch.
