Fallout

Interesting. I thought the fallout from the bigotry bomb would be restricted to those directly in the "guilt by association" line, i.e. Jeb Bradley, Ovide Lamontagne, and Frank Guinta, and perhaps even Kevin Smith, given his line of advocacy.

And indeed all of those names have come up.  But then Jack Kimball joined in with a clumsy and classless false equivalence exercise.  And now Kelly Ayotte, who I'm sure has no love lost for Grok, piles on:

"Doug Lambert's comments were despicable and have no place in our dialogue. Hateful and derogatory comments such as those are unacceptable."
Finally, Ron Tunning updates his Facebook status with this news:
An email message I received from Ed Engler, publisher of the Laconia Daily Sun regarding right-wing columnist and radio talk show host Doug Lambert who yesterday called NH Democratic Party Chair a "faggot" and essentially wished him dead. RON . . . Doug has been informed that his weekly column is no longer welcome in The Daily Sun . . .ED
As a side note, I'm a little surprised that as of the datestamp on this post there has been zero discussion of this on Red Hampshire. But to be fair, I'm always surprised when I get indignant emails from readers who are wondering why I haven't covered X or discussed Y, so, really, cuique suum.

To Ed Engler's credit he informed me that he'd (4.00 / 6)
made the decision to terminate Lambert's column immediately upon learning of the incident.

And while he appreciates the emails that have inundated the newspaper today, he asks that people stop sending emails unless they wish them to be published as letters. He just doesn't have time to respond to them all.

Where is the NHGOP? (4.00 / 4)
I havent seen any comments from John Sununu.

Looks like I missed some, um, excitement. :-!

Slings and arrows of outrageous political fortune!

Hummmm (0.00 / 0)
Time to cull the herd... of conservative commentators...

So many... Like noxious stinging insects....Saying so much of the same... While the population has shifted in its political views!...

Too many drones in the hive... Winter's coming... Doug "the donut man" Lambert should be first shown the door!
