(I encourage you to click the link and read Lambert's piece. It's actually very revealing. - promoted by Dean Barker)
Okay, I really don't want to give more air time to the revolting Granite Grok viewpoints than has already come about, but the irony of this is too strong to pass up. A March 2007 entry from none other than - Doug Lambert:
The latest public figure to become afflicted (some might say as a "relapse") with the scourge of "Triple-S" is, it pains me to say, Ann Coulter, who, giving a speech to CPAC, used the word "faggot" ...
According to Lambert, the "Triple-S" or "Sudden Stupidity Syndrome" that Coulter experienced was wrong - not because it was a bigoted remark - but because it put other conservative activists associated with her in "a bad light".
A bad light ... that must be the reason why every Republican save Chairman John H. Sununu has issued a release denouncing Granite Grok for its own bigoted behavior. Although, Lambert can't really call it a "sudden" moment of stupidity, seeing as how he, himself, has blogged on this very topic. Perhaps we should give Doug the title that he conferred in this instance:
I really hate to do this, but for herhis stupid remark, there is no choice but to give Ann CoulterDoug Lambert the GraniteGrok "Dope of the Week" award...
