Bush League Bradley

by: Dean Barker

Fri Nov 27, 2009 at 08:21:21 AM EST

Every time I see Jeb Bradley, or Charlie Bass, or Judd Gregg crowing about how the world will end if we pass health care reform, I am reminded of how when they were in charge, they did nothing to address this domestic catastrophe.

All the money in the world for Iraq, and for cutting taxes for the richest, but getting more Americans insured?  Not exactly in their priority set.

Every time I see Jeb Bradley, or Charlie Bass, or Judd Gregg crowing about how the world will end if we pass health care reform, I try, in vain, to imagine what President McCain and Vice President Palin would have done to address the millions of uninsured and underinsured Americans.

There's a reason Democrats control every branch of government.  The red team forgot about the other 99% of us.

What? You must not read the UL (0.00 / 0)
This morning there is an example of what Republicanics do so well - forget their own profligacy and attack anyone else's efforts. Having just come off of the most corrupt eight years of political control found in American history, to see them blame someone else makes me puke.

Actually, I beg to disagree. The punishers did not forget (0.00 / 0)
the 99%.  Deprivation is their game.  Deprivators is their name.  From their perspective, government is designed as a punitive institution and satisfies the impulsive, who can't wait to be avenged in the after-life.

Just as establishments of religion look to the state to enforce their dicta, business establishments look to the state to "protect" their resources and their markets and facilitate their  exploitation without restraints.

Free enterprise = freedom from social restraints.  The individual, on the other hand, is fair game to be coerced.  Also, easy.

The article won't load for me (Google Chrome for Mac) (0.00 / 0)
But I do think it's very nice of the paper to give State Senator Bradley some column inches on a day like today, when everybody is reading the newspaper.

Strange. Me too. (4.00 / 1)
The article URL is correct; maybe the UL is hung-up at the moment.
