So far today... (0.00 / 0)
As of 1:30 PM

- robocall from the Republicans, 269-979-6464; ended when I pressed the "not voting in the Republican Primary" selection

-"TV News Organization" poll (wouldn't say who, caller ID suppressed), lots of demographic questions in addition to political prefs.

- Live person (pleasant older lady) from HRC campaign inviting us to Nashua event.

One more at 3PM (0.00 / 0)
- From "Voter Survey Research" 603-236-7851, live person. Wanted to talk with wife, who is away today. End of conversation.

Very pleasant polling call from Gallup (0.00 / 0)
When I said I was voting Democratic, the lady said Oops, they had reached their quota of Dems to poll.

I chuckled and warned that if the Gallup pollsters didn't figure out they were facing a much higher Dem turnout than they expect, they will get it wrong.

She said I was lucky to live where my vote really counts. I said we take it seriously, and it isn't always fun.

I've got caller ID. I answer from polling firms I recognize. That must skew stuff a bit.

Richardson and Obama... (0.00 / 0)
I think it's funny that given my participation in this campaign that my husband still keeps getting calls from the Obama campaign.  Luckily I know the woman from New Boston who called our house this afternoon, and explained to her that he won't even tell me who he's voting for and he would like his name to be listed as a "do not contact."

A very nice woman named Bridget called for Richardson and asked to speak to either of us.  She was calling to see if we had "any questions about the Governor's positions or experience," which I thought was a nice and refreshingly different approach to the cold call...  I explained that I was proudly supporting Senator Obama and asked her to remove my husband from the list (giving her the same above explanation).

We were at a friend's house in Nashua this morning and there were canvassers all over her neighborhood! (Oh how I would love those nice suburban neighborhoods to canvass in...)

Feeling hopeful since 2004...
