Whoa. - promoted by Dean Barker) Joel Maiola, Judd Gregg's former chief of staff, became a Republican for Lynch today, along with former Executive Councilor Bernie Streeter, former State Senator Dick Green, and Republican activist Dr. Grif Dalianis. Bonnie Newman and Walter Peterson also endorsed John Lynch again. Bonnie Newman was chief of staff to Judd Gregg when Gregg was a congressman. It says a lot when prominent members of a party are willing to publicly endorse the nominee of the other party. They could have kept quiet and cast a secret ballot for John Lynch. Also, Maiola, Streeter and Green would have worked with Johnny Stephen when he was at HHS, so this clearly is a decision based on knowing both Governor Lynch and Johnny Stephen. |
