After all that bluff and bluster, after all those misleading ads from hate groups, and even with a typically pro-GOP UNH sample, Johnny Stephen is still turning out to be (.pdf) 2010's version of... what was that fellow's name again?

Oh, and: thanks to the careful stewardship of John Lynch and the Democratic majorities in House and Senate during this Great Recession, New Hampshire saw its unemployment drop yet again last month to 5.5%, among the lowest rates in the nation (release below the fold).

Gov. John Lynch Statement on Drop In Unemployment Rate
NH Unemployment Rate Dropped from 5.7 Percent in August to 5.5 Percent in September
CONCORD - Gov. John Lynch today issued the following statement regarding the drop in the state's unemployment rate:
"The continuing drop in unemployment is good news for New Hampshire and is further evidence that we are on the right track to economic recovery. In fact, just last week two major economic development projects were announced that will result in the creation of 1,700 new jobs.
"We have a winning economic strategy in place, which is why it is so important that we continue to build on the progress we have made. Companies, like Albany International, are coming to New Hampshire because we have an educated and skilled workforce, and are one of the most business-friendly states in the nation, according to the Tax Foundation.
"New Hampshire is stronger economically than many other states, but we must recognize that there are many people still looking for work. We will continue our efforts to make smart investments in our economy, to connect businesses looking to hire with people seeking jobs, and getting more of our people back to work."
