Kuster to Bring VP Biden to Nashua Diner Monday
To Hear From NH Voters About Jobs Issue
NASHUA, NH - Congressional candidate Annie Kuster will bring Vice President Joe Biden to a Nashua diner on Monday afternoon to talk about the need to create jobs, and to share the stories of local voters who are working hard to find and create jobs in today's economy.
The visit will be the 30th of Kuster's "30 Diner in 30 Days" tour of the district, and Kuster has invited a few dozen voters from across the state who she has met on the campaign trail over the past year, at diners and at the more than 130 house parties that Kuster has held in her grassroots campaign for Congress.
"I'm running to bring a new approach to Washington that focuses on doing what's best for the people of New Hampshire, instead of politics as usual," said Kuster. "So when the Vice President said he would come to New Hampshire, I knew I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce him to some of the voters I've met who are working hard to find and create new jobs in this tough economy."
Kuster has run a unique grassroots-driven campaign, focusing on the jobs issue and on helping people instead of politics as usual. In addition to her diner tour, she has held over 130 house parties in every corner of the district, where she has talked with Democrats, Independents, and Republicans about the need to work together and kick-start our economy. She has raised more funds from New Hampshire voters - as opposed to Washington PACs or out-of-state special interests - than anyone ever running for the U.S. House of Representatives in state history.
"Vice President Biden is a tireless fighter for working families, and I know that he is focused on helping us create good jobs here in New Hampshire," said Kuster. "If voters give me the chance to represent them in Congress, my job will be to be a voice for the people of this district - so I figured the best way I can start is by making sure the Vice President meets New Hampshire voters who are affected by this economy, and that we talk about why his work to help New Hampshire businesses create good jobs is so important."
Kuster has released her own detailed plan to help create jobs in New Hampshire, including (1) supporting small businesses, (2) preventing outsourcing, (3) reforming Wall Street, and (4) cutting federal budget deficits.
In the past month, Kuster's diner tour (which has also included pizza places, bakeries, and coffeeshops) has previously visited Amherst, Berlin, Canaan, Charlestown, Claremont, Concord, Enfield, Franklin, Henniker, Hillsborough, Hollis, Hudson, Keene, Lebanon (twice), Littleton, Milford, Nashua (twice), New London, Newport, Pembroke, Peterborough, Plymouth, Salem, Swanzey, Tilton, Warner, and Windham.
