Hosmer offers a balanced, sensible approach

Over the years, State Senate District 4 has been represented by some very able people. Though members of both political parties, their service has been marked by certain common characteristics which enhanced their effectiveness as lawmakers and earned them respect among their constituents.

The senators as a group believed that the people are best served by centrist views, that wise government means balancing the availability of services and the cost of those services, that lawmakers need to be in touch with the citizens they serve, and that, in the workings of the Senate, they are able to reach across the political aisle in order to accomplish the job the people elected them to do.

The candidate running for Senate District 4 in next Tuesday's election who is prepared to serve the district in this tradition of hard-working, down-to-earth and balanced representation is Democrat Andrew Hosmer.
