SPLC names three New Hampshire reps as members of hate group

by: DianeR

Mon Mar 21, 2011 at 10:24:27 AM EDT

You knew it had to happen! The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) recently issued a report called "Attacking the Constitution: State Legislators for Legal Immigration & the Anti-Immigrant Movement."

Legislators are listed by state, and three of them are members of the New Hampshire House of Representatives:

Laurence Rappaport
R - District 1

Jordan Ulery
R - District 27

Moe Villeneuve
R - District 18

Here is an excerpt from the overview:

Gay people are the "death knell" of America. The Confederacy fought for "individual liberties."
One-world government, as predicted in the Book of Revelation, is around the corner. The
federal government knew about the Oklahoma City bombing before it happened....

Concord Monitor (4.00 / 2)
says that most people don't know who their reps are, apparently.  So my question is, how did they know who to vote for?  Or, did they vote at all?

the latter. (4.00 / 1)
NO!

We had what was considered a huge turnout here for our town/school/budget issues couple weeks ago. Big fight for the soul/future of Rindge. Teabaggers vs. the rest of us. Lots at stake. 36% or 38% voted!

Keene Sentinel publishes voting rates in all towns in the county. Few exceed 40%. Most, mid-30s; some less. Off-year elections are even lower.

This is a failure on our part (4.00 / 6)
We should be examining the records, memberships and statements of the Republican nominees if available.

We should publicize these findings.

It takes some work and it might be overwhelming to research more common names but it should be worth the effort.

That's Where The Democratic Machine... (4.00 / 4)
...could really do a great job.

O'Brien's record is there (0.00 / 0)
Over the last 3 or 4 weeks I have attempted to provide info in my comments about his history.

He is chaos in waiting for NH - folks better wake up.
