98.2% of Historians Agree: Bush is a Failure

by: Dean Barker

Sat Apr 05, 2008 at 11:09:25 AM EDT

You know, I saw this and started to feel bad for him. I mean, he is our president after all, and he is a human being:
But then I remembered the whole going to war on lies thing and how many innocent people have needlessly died as a result. So now I'm not feeling so bad about it.

That's what I like about historians. They have a professional responsibility to make their judgments in a more dispassionate manner than I.

98.2 % of them recently polled by the History News Network state that the Bush presidency has been a failure.  And a whopping 61% of them say that W. is the worst president in the history of our Republic.

That there is a filibuster-proof majority.

In an interview, Keith Olberman ..... (0.00 / 0)
.....made the prediction that - while Harding, Buchanan and others are tough competition - he felt certain that GWB would be easily the worst two-term president.

In addition, one reason why it's normally wise to wait some time before even offering a preliminary evaluation: information needs to become declassified; often appearing in hindsight to make the president-in-question appear more favorable. With this group, though: anything secret that is favorable is leaked. So I think the more that comes out over time will only work to their detriment.

perhaps it should be noted that the Code Pink women (0.00 / 0)
claim credit for to the booing.

Generally, the Presidents who are rated lowest are the ones who failed to prevent the Civil War (0.00 / 0)
But I've studied our Presidents, and I can't think of a single one who has come anywhere near this one with regard to creating so many new problems where there were none before.

He is our baseball president, and he deserves our baseball respect.

(And a "4" to anyone who can tell me what the original joke was that I'm ripping off)
