What do Doug Lindner and Barack Obama Have in Common?

by: Dean Barker

Thu Jun 05, 2008 at 21:00:56 PM EDT

Here's what: they're both young, they're both the future of our party, and they're both on the ballot in New Hampshire this fall.

That means we at Blue Hampshire are proud to add them both to our ActBlue Hampshire page.

Why not throw some change their way? Get it? "Change"?  (I kill myself.)

And while you're at it, don't forget about Jeanne Shaheen, Carol Shea-Porter, and Paul Hodes.  The end of the second quarter is fast approaching.

p.s. Chaz, if you're out there, get yourself an ActBlue page so we can add be the first to add you to our slate. Proulx '08!

Chaz and Doug rock.  Idealism that won't change.

Couldn't find a page for you on ActBlue...

...hint ...hint.

Wonder if Sununu's fired now.

I'm both surprised and humbled by this. (4.00 / 1)
Thank you for the kind words, for the fund-raising plug, for contributing, and for the generous comparison to the future President and the future Senator.

Next weekend, I, as well as many others, will begin participating in a summer swing state program known as the Obama Organizing Fellowship (of course, I will be stationed right here in the great State of New Hampshire).  For the time being, I'm volunteering for the New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus, a far less glamorous, but also very important cause.  I'm proud to know that, in some small way, I'm helping those two great Americans get elected, and in doing so, helping to make our state, our nation, and our world a better place--and that's what activism is all about.

For my own campaign, though I have in the works a somewhat novel set of proposals that I've tentatively titled the Granite State Initiative; this will form the cornerstone of my platform and of my agenda.  When it's fully developed, you all will be among the first to know.

In the meantime, I need to raise some serious cash.  I encourage you all to click any of the links in Dean's original diary to do that, if you are so generously inclined, and to visit my website by clicking on the logo in my signature.

Keep Up The Good Work (4.00 / 1)
Just checked, somebody donated! Keep up the good work, Doug!

Just did my part (4.00 / 2)
For Doug, For Barack, For Jeanne, and Paul...
My money's on the table, who's next???

I'm a HOPE monger.

Thank you, Kelly. (0.00 / 0)
And thank you, Dean.

Poll
How important is Obama's early opposition to the Iraq war?
By far the most important contrast with McCain
One of the top 3 or 4 Obama talking points
Equally important as the other major issues
Less important than his Iraq policy going forward
Being against Iraq in 2002 will not matter in 2008
It will actually end up hurting him
