The Obama campaign has launched a website, Fight the Smear, to help combat the chain emails that are spreading FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) about Barack Obama.
While I know that rapid response teams are nothing new, the website is a smart move well done. Not only does it contain the traditional "Fact Check" information, but it has built in email capabilities with suggestted language, facts, and proof points that make it easy to spread the truth. The challenges of 2004 were Drudge and Fox News. It seems the challenges of this election are going to be fighting FUDmail (...and Fox News).
So, if one of your friends/parents/crazy-uncles makes the mistake of including you on one of these FUDmails I'd encourage you to blast them (and everyone else they cc'd on the message!) with a shot of the truth.
