Nowhere else that I can find, will you see info on our Town races or politics. That is a shame for the over 8,000 residents of Bow.
http://www.nh.gov/nhes/elmi/ht...
The 2008 Census estimate for Bow was 8,077 residents, which ranked 38th among New Hampshire's incorporated cities and towns.

No press, no coverage. We're on our own, so thank you Blue Hampshire for getting the info out.

NHPR (0.00 / 0)
has an interactive town meeting tool where you can adopt your town and report on what is on the warrant, etc.

In our area we have our on-line paper where the information on town meetings is posted.

I do agree that the coverage of town affairs has gone down badly in the last couple of years.  It wasn't that long ago that we had a reporter from Foster's and a reported from the Monitor who covered our town.

We believe in prosperity & opportunity, strong communities, healthy families, great schools, investing in our future and leading the world by example. We are Democrats; we are the change you're looking for.

No one.  Bresler is Emperor for Life.

from Town Chair Deb DeMoulpied

TUESDAY, MARCH 9 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM ELECTION DAY AT BOW COMMUNITY CENTER followed by
Town meetings Weds, the 10th (next day) and School Board Meeting the 12th, Friday.
both 7 pm

Please consider joining me in supporting the following :

Selectman: Colleen Hunter and Jill Desrosers
Budget Committee: Kally Abrams and Ginger Fraser
School Board: Pansy Bloomfield and Shawn Coe

BOW TOWN MEETING, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 7:00 pm, BHS Auditorium

and lastly,

BOW SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING, FRIDAY MARCH 12, 7:00 pm, BHS Auditorium

There is a negative sentiment regarding taxes in Bow lately that is diminishing the
quality of our childrens' education. The proposed School Board budget targets zero
percent increases. This results in seven teacher positions are on the table to be
eliminated and class sizes are projected to increase significantly in all three
schools. I therefore ask you to seriously consider what I know will be a proposed
amendment at the School District meeting and vote to add four teaching positions
back in to the budget which would result in a modest increase in overall school
spending. The increase in taxes for a $300K home is approximately $71, well worth
preserving our property values and providing quality education to all Bow students.

As you have been out and about on Bow's roads this winter, you undoubtedly have
noticed many "speed bumps" in the form of disintegrating roads (think washboard with
deep ruts!). They are not being properly maintained. This is due directly to
repeated tax cuts in the past years - there is not enough money budgeted to perform
the required maintenance in a timely manner.

It has been stated that higher taxes will drive away potential home buyers in
Bow......however - it is common sense that larger class sizes and higher
teacher/student ratios as well as improperly maintained roads are serious
considerations to incoming families. The educational system and beautiful country
neighborhoods of Bow are two of this town's strengths, please let's not sit idly by
and watch their quality diminish.

Please participate next week in these three important events. Let your voice be
heard. Bow has always been a fantastic place to live and raise our families, let's
make sure it stays this way. SPREAD THE WORD!!
