The NYT's Jeff Zeleny, pushing his Democrats Running and Hiding meme:
In New Hampshire, where open political meetings are deeply ingrained in the state's traditions, Representative Carol Shea-Porter's campaign Web site had this message for visitors: "No upcoming events scheduled. Please visit us again soon!"
Ms. Shea-Porter, a Democrat, attended a state convention of letter carriers on Saturday, but she did not hold a town-hall-style meeting during the Congressional recess. In 2006, when she was an underdog candidate for the House, she often showed up at the meetings of her Republican rival, Representative Jeb Bradley, to question him about Iraq.

Those came on the heels of the health care vote, and every one of them was targeted by the Tea People in an effort to make theater out of what should be a genuine exchange of ideas. And at every one Carol never shirked from patiently explaining her support for the her positions, no matter how uninterested the crowd was in going outside the boundaries of Fauxtrage.
And regarding 2006, as susanthe explains in Bill Duncan's excellent post calling attention to this slash and burn job, "Carol never attended a Bradley town hall meeting after becoming a candidate."
It sure is odd how, out of all the House Dems, Zeleny chose to highlight someone the GOPers here have been repeatedly trying (and failing) to make an issue out of in respect to her town hall appearances.
I wonder whom he used as a source. You could ask him yourself.
