Did she mention it's also un-constitutional to coerce an (0.00 / 0)
individual to give up his right to speak by threatening his livelihood?

The extent to which Americans have been persuaded to cede their human rights voluntarily is really quite amazing.  The promise alone of exclusively owning property has convinced million to cede their automobility to a vehicle and constrain their travel to pre-approved routes.  It's no longer possible to traverse the continent on foot without risking a charge of trespass and arrest.  Indeed, it's often not possible to stand in a public right of way (highway or sidewalk) without risking arrest and incarceration for trespass.

"stop loss," the modern alternative to the draft and involuntary servitude is justified on the basis that, having once agreed to server voluntarily, the military person (like wives in traditional marriages) must be permanently subservient.  The law can be as harsh as any slave-driver.  It has the advantage that, the law being impersonal, there is no-one to complain of or hold to account.

Bridge back to enthusiasm (4.00 / 1)
I flipped through this today and really enjoyed it (it has to be read from the bottom).

Congratulations Senator Shaheen

Sununu 2: Electric Boogaloo was a sequel which should never have been made.

I don't quite get the Mars! references, but I enjoyed those too.
