It's Carol Shea-Porter Week on Blue Hampshire

by: Dean Barker

Mon Jul 12, 2010 at 08:09:43 AM EDT

(Bumped. - promoted by Dean Barker)

A week ago I decided it was time for a new approach.  The MO of the dominant traditional media in New Hampshire's first district is to minimize the work Carol Shea-Porter has been doing on behalf of the rest of us, and to maximize every GOP hit job on her.  They smell an opportunity with a tough mid-term cycle to remove someone they have never truly accepted as their representative in the first place.  Fine.

It's long past time for the "rest of us" to step up.  So, at least in this little corner of the New Hampshire online world, it's going to be Carol Shea-Porter Week.

I'm going to be blogging exclusively on the finest public servant New Hampshire's first district has had, paying particular attention to the work she has done in congress, achievements which almost never get attention from the traditional media.

I need your help.
I'm especially interested to hear your personal testimonials about why you support Carol and why it is so important to keep her fighting for us in congress in 2010 and beyond.  Needless to say I'll be front-paging any such posts all week long.

And, yes, we need to go further than that as well.  Please put a "CSP Week" tag on any Carol Shea-Porter post you write here this week. And ideally, it should be crossposted to your Facebook status, Twitter tweets, your own blogs, and on your national lefty blog accounts.  Also, make sure folks know how to get to the campaign and give to the campaign if they are inspired by your work. Some of the most vile, bogus hit jobs on Carol have been conveyed online.  Let's do our part in making sure there is another side to Carol's net presence as well.

The video above is Carol's 2006 victory speech.  For as long as I live I will never forget being at Paul Hodes' victory party in Concord, and seeing Jeb Bradley on the TeeVee.  It was very confusing, because the noise of Paul's celebration was so loud that you couldn't hear what Bradley was saying.

He was conceding. That would be the first of many wonderful surprises for me from Carol.
