The State of the 2010 GOP, in Two Sentences

by: Dean Barker

Wed Oct 06, 2010 at 06:21:23 AM EDT

A frightening right-wing extremist, the $5k a plate DC crowd, and our own "independent" Kelly Ayotte:
A group of Republican Senate candidates including Sharron Angle of Nevada are gathering in Washington tonight for a $5,000 per person fundraiser, party officials confirmed.

Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, John Boozman of Arkansas, Dan Coats of Indiana and Marco Rubio of Florida are set to benefit along with Angle.

What these people are angling for is celebrity. Jetting off to D.C. (0.00 / 0)
to be feted must be ever so exciting for people from the country.  Our Kelly wants to be a city mouse.

Fine.  Let them get their fill of the high life during the campaign and then select the work-horses in November.

Populism It Ain't! (0.00 / 0)

No'm Sayn?

Slightly demented people have often run for political office, (0.00 / 0)
but it's really shameful when a major political party is being represented by a whole basket full of incompetents and scalawags.  No sane person would seek a public office with a promise to undermine the welfare of the American people.  Where have all the reasonable Republicans gone?  Were they all seduced by the Almighty Dollar?
