News Update from the Union Leader:

by: elwood

Sat Oct 23, 2010 at 08:01:07 AM EDT

In local news, the town of Peterborough held a referendum on tax caps. We can't support the results, which can be found in some other media outlets.

In sports, Manchester Central played Pinkerton in an exciting nail-biter. The Green led 21-17 at the half. The final results did not meet our standards for coverage.

In weather, expect a clear and sunny morning Saturday. For the remainder of the weekend, don't ask.

A comparison they'll hate (4.00 / 1)
The Union Leader has the First Amendment right to take this action. I find it an extremely distasteful decision, but ultimately they are expressing their personal freedoms in so doing, and First Amendment rights are a key part of what makes America great.

Oh, sorry, that was supposed to say 'The Ground Zero Mosque' instead of 'The Union Leader.'

IT for John Lynch '04 and NHDP '08 - I'm liking my track record so far!

Joe McQuaid (0.00 / 0)
As I've said ( too many times) you have to give Bill Loeb credit for handing the reigns of power at the Union Leader to Joe McQuaid.

Loeb found one of very few people he knew who would never ever waiver from the Joe McCarthy end of America's right wing.
