GOP wants Fed to give up (4.00 / 1)
on unemployment.

The horse may be out of the barn on this, but before we write the Fed a Get Out of Accountability note, we ought to hold somebody accountable for full employment. We know who the GOP wants to blame.

I dont care about Isarithmic (0.00 / 0)
history as long as they don't build the 9/11 Mosque at Ground Zero!

General vs specific (4.00 / 1)
At first glance, it does look wrong.

Sparks concedes there is a trade-off between an isarithmic (contour) map and the more traditional thematic political boundary map. You lose the specificity associated with a specific geographical area, but gain a visualization of broader regional patterns.

Apparently, the slight 2000 Republican majority vote in a handful of NH counties is "overwhelmed" by the larger blue majorities surrounding it.

I think he's right; I think he will hear from skeptics...
