If the Fantasy Primary were held today

by: Jon Bresler

Who would you vote for ? This 100% arbitrary selection of candidates was based solely on  prejudices...they are either Declared,Undeclared,Drafted,Rumored,
... or I want them for my Fantasy Team.

I reluctantly cast my vote. (0.00 / 0)
If it were held today I would vote for Marchand, because I know his position on Iraq and that position is acceptable to me, and he hasn't announced any other positions that would cross him off my list.

I don't know the positions of the other candidates, because they haven't said as much on the topic yet. I could easily end up supporting Shaheen or Lynch, depending on their position on the war. They do have electability advantages.

when I voted it became visible ot me

I voted for Marchand (4.00 / 2)
because a) he's the closest to me on issues, and b) I think he can win.

And here's a something coy: there's another name on the list who may be even closer to me on the issues, and yet another who I think, under the right conditions, can win.  But I'll never say...

Of course, the constant caveat: I will move mountains for the nominee, who will undoubtedly be a vast improvement over John E.

OT: Is it true that Stonyfield was sold to Dannon? (0.00 / 0)
Someone tried telling me this the other day and I refused to believe it.

I believe it was, (4.00 / 2)
but that Hirshberg is still running it for real, not like he's become a figurehead or anything like that.

Pro Choice (0.00 / 0)
At the democratic position, Marchand anounced he was the only candidate that was 100% pro choice- but I could not find any real reference to Katrina's position on her site.

Does anyone knwo the differences between the candidates on that issue??

I botched that - meant convention, not position.

Paul Hodes. (0.00 / 0)
If you're including people who aren't running, why not Hodes?  He has a good record on Iraq, including votes to withdraw.

Is he your Fantasy Senator ? (4.00 / 1)
Like in Fantasy Baseball, where you draft players from different teams to make up yours...does Paul Hodes fulfill a 'perfect' role playing Senator for your team ? Okay I'll add Cong. Paul to the next poll. But frankly it makes me nervous. I can't stand the thought of that seat in jeopardy. Given the District, he could be offered a Long Term contract, with options,bonuses,no-cut clause, and automatic extensions.
