From DiStaso we learn that the frequently orange and suspiciously coiffed birther known as Donald Trump will be visiting NH on April 27:
On his first visit to the state next week, Trump will be involved in a series of meetings with key Granite Staters, including NHGOP Chairman Jack Kimball.
It will be interesting to see how Jack Kimball deals with the birther issue, since it seems to be the sole plank in Trump's platform.
..word came from the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce that it has booked The Donald to keynote its annual "Expo Nashua" business-to-business event May 11 at the Radisson Hotel in that city.
Chamber President and CEO Chris Williams said the Chamber was "delighted" to have Trump as the featured speaker, cited his "world-renowned" business career and noted, "The fact that he's exploring a presidential run is certainly not lost on us."
What a coup to have a man who bankrupted a CASINO as your keynote speaker at a business event.
Newt was in Manchester last night. From the CM
When a guest brought up recent signs of support for a Trump candidacy, Gingrich said the real estate mogul would make a better chief executive than Obama.
"If my choice was Barack Obama or Donald Trump, I would have zero hesitation saying that Donald Trump is dramatically less dangerous to America's future than Barack Obama, and I'd be happy to campaign for him," Gingrich said.
Earlier, Gingrich told reporters that he thought it was fair game for Trump to raise questions about Obama's citizenship.
"Anything is a fair question in this society," he said. "It's the nature of modern America."
In other words - Newt's a birther too.
It's good to know that anything is a fair question in America. I suspect he'll be bombarded with questions about his infidelities, divorcing two sick wives he was cheating on, and his past ethics issues. I hope he's not expecting a big chunk of the women's vote.
