Charlie Soprano "Protecting" Medicare

by: GreyMike

Fri Aug 19, 2011 at 23:40:15 PM EDT

Was at a meeting of Dems the other night and one of the bits of PAC mail propaganda discussed was a recent flier that went out to tell "seniors" what a good job our man Charlie was doing to "protect" Medicare, and to call him to say "thanks".

It came to me that it was the same as calling Tony Soprano to say "thanks" for "protecting" your store from catching on fire.

Can't remember which PAC it was, recycled my flier already.

Anybody still have theirs so we can play connect-the-dots?

are you sure it was a PAC? (0.00 / 0)
Frank Guinta sent out campaign flyers with a similar theme which were paid for with taxpayer money.

Pretty sure. n/t (0.00 / 0)

Bass Medicare Flyer sent out by the American Action Network (4.00 / 2)
In my introduction of Annie Kuster at a recent fund raiser, I reported that I and others in Jaffrey had recently received this glossy direct-mail flyer in our mail boxes.  Reportedly the mailing went to voters in 22 congressional districts in 14 states. It was sent out by the "American Action Network" a conservative republican organization that shares office space with Karl Rove's American Crossroads PAC and other like-minded and like-funded organizations.  The flyer asserts that Charlie Bass [who, as we all know, voted earlier this year to swap Medicare for an underfunded voucher program] "is fighting to protect Medicare for New Hampshire Seniors."  Read more about this astonishing baldfaced lie at http://thinkprogress.org/healt...  Then spread the word.

And if anyone really wants to find out more about the PAC (0.00 / 0)
here it is.

Just more detritus courtesy Citizens United and SCOTUS.

Same with the Guinta Flyer too Tim (0.00 / 0)

I thought it was a "franked" flier ( more guita ganda)

But this is from the American Action Network. In Greenland last Wed a questioner showed a Copy to Frank Guinta. He said he hadn't seen these.

Thank you Supreme Court. Not sure if this is a Super PAC> but looks like it if they can send these out in both districts here, they are probably going out across the US
