Fun fact: (4.00 / 5)
Four elections in a row (three of which in GOP districts), no Republican candidate has won a majority of votes.

(Janvrin won a plurality).

Congrats, Rep-Elect Leischman!

New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley's Statement on the Democratic Victory in Tonight's Special Election

Concord, NH - New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement on Democratic candidate Peter Leishman's landslide victory in the Hillsborough District Three special election.

"Peter Leishman's victory tonight makes New Hampshire voters four-for-four in rejecting Speaker O'Brien's reckless job killing agenda.  In a district with more registered Republicans than Democrats, New Hampshire citizens sent a loud and clear message to the Tea Party Republicans in Concord who have spent the last nine months pursuing policies that don't match up with New Hampshire values -  attacking education, killing jobs, and hurting women's health care by cutting funding for breast cancer screenings.

"Tonight's results should serve as a warning to all Republicans seeking the Corner Office who are campaigning on continuing and enlarging the reckless and irresponsible agenda we have seen in Concord this year."

a landslide (4.00 / 3)
Leishman didn't just win, he won by a (Bob) Perry-esque landslide. Yayyy!

Great That Peter Is Back In The House (4.00 / 3)
Like Bob Perry, having him back is a big "plus" for Democrats, and a warning to Republicans who want to take away marriage equality, or want to continue to hurt our citizens in need, our children, and our elderly with their short-sighted budget cuts.

Congratulations, Peter! (4.00 / 3)
The tide is turning, but it won't truly change direction without a lot of hard work.

We can do it!
