Two Bloggers Endorse Barack on Blue Hampshire

For news and discussion of progressive politics in the Granite State, Blue Hampshire is the place to be. Two of its regulars have recently come forward to endorse Barack for president.

Andy Edwards is a founding member of the NH Democratic Majority. He was elected as a State Representative in New Hampshire in 2006. He writes:

Edwards for Obama

I am endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for President. He is the only one who presents a real departure from conventional thinking inside the beltway and who will act as a catalyst for change both within the American political system and with our image abroad.

Hoefer for Obama

Obama's Technology plan is impressive and shows he understands the power of good technology in Government. He "gets it" because the plan is not just technology (routers, wireless spectrum and like) but about communication and making government more open and transparent. If they can find the right CTO, and it will not be easy, it could really "flip the funnel" on information regarding how Government is run. Sunlight is the best disinfectant they say.

I decided to give my personal endorsement (0.00 / 0)
rather than something more traditional and "on-message" as campaigns typically prefer, but the Obama campaign was completely fine with it and even embraced the idea.. to my surprise.

It's time we steer by the stars, and not the lights of every passing ship

In a nutshell (4.00 / 1)
You have captured the soul of this movement.

Sorta reminds me of when Time magazine named "you" as the person of the year.

We as an electorate have been led by the nose for so long, I think many just don't get what Obama is about.

His comfort zone allows for us to be us and him to lead based on a diversity of constituents and advisors.

Thank you for sharing your own message. It is much more powerful then the conventional campaign preference.

Nobody is leading this Democrat around by the nose. I fought for Gore, and Kerry, and every Dem candidate before them, since 1968. You worked one cycle and have a head bigger than your hat size. As opposed to the hope-a-dopers with the stars in their eyes, we know what we are up aganist. You are dreaming of a better day, and have an orator who gives eloquent voice to that dream. Bravo.
But what turned us off is when we went to a Barack rally in Concord earlier this year, and there was a pre-supposition among the converted that if you didn't get it you were a lost soul. They were quite rude at the end if you didn't sign up.We get it dude. We want to win back the White House. Cold compassion for America tells me Barack does not have what it takes to win. Once the real attacks come, hold onto your hat. Hillary has been through it, and so has John. He's got what it takes to win. I am not willing to bet on a dream. I wasn't willing to bet on Kerry, I knew he would get creamed by the slimers. I'll take a sure thing. The stakes of losing are too great. If we nominate a candidate who can't win in every geographical area, we risk the Supreme Court and the Federal courts for the rest of my lifetime. That's why I am fending off the dream. I crave the reality.
Talk to me next week G, say on the 4th.

Sorry to upset the applecart, yo.

Having been part of the silent majority, these many years, I can't say as I am particularly disappointed with the job that you and yours have been doing since 1968.

Please don't expect me to apologize for crashing your "private garden party" of national politics, but like you said "The stakes of losing are too great."

Since your generation's greatest achievment to date, in terms of elected representatives go, is Bill Clinton; I can see why you want to validate your generation with the coup-de-grace, John Edwards.

I have told you before, I would be glad to accept a President Edwards, but first,  your man has to get his shit together and WIN. Considering that John Edwards has been running for President since, what 2002, he has done a piss poor job. Johnny may have struck on a winner with this new found "skin" of his, so the best I can say is good luck. Anyone that dilutes support from Hillary Clinton is alright by me.

I strikes me that your tirade, mimics the "back to the future" smoke that Hillary/Penn is trying to blow up our asses. Once again, you are cherry picking your Gen's achievements from the many near misses and some complete failures. The hard truth is that all you, and those like you, have brought to fruition is the very moment that we exist in now.

Maybe you feel that everything to date has lead to the opportunity for your generation to get it right, by electing John Edwards. I see things differently.

These are the days where we take it and your peer group is happy to pass the torch. We may have to pry it from your hands, but that'll work. Easy things are rarely respected.

If Obama takes it, you need not despair. There is a place for old coots in Obamaland.
