Field presence for P2008 Dems

by: NH_expat

Fri Feb 16, 2007 at 12:56:36 PM EST

Hey, anyone know what kind of field presence the 2008 Dem candidates have around the state?  I was a field worker for Gov. Dean in the primary race, and I was wondering who is up and running.  As a disclaimer, you should know that this diary is strongly motivated by self-interest, as I'm considering sending a resume the way of a few campaigns.

Any general info on field presence (who's knocking on doors, etc.) is welcome, but knowledge of field offices and where they are is a plus.  Thanks!

Field Presence (4.00 / 1)
To my knowledge, there is no field presence in the hinterlands for any presidential candidate at this point. For the most part, I believe that they are relying on the assistance of sympathetic Democratic activists in each local area to do the preliminary fieldwork that is necessary for an appearance of a candidate.

Most of the campaigns have hired state directors and they are slowly filling out the staffs. I know that the Clinton, Obama, Dodd, Biden, Richardson and Edwards campaigns have some staff in the state.

For the 2004 Presidential Primary, it was not until pretty much May or June of 2003 that the campaigns established field offices in the various regions of NH.

Governor Vilsack has a state (4.00 / 1)
co-ordinator.  Travis Brock claims to be here and to be preparing for a Vilsack visit February 27 and 28.

They've rolled out a new web site and have a blog just for New Hampshire.

Kucinich (4.00 / 1)
Hey, NH expat, did you see this blurb about Kucinich being the first candidate to open a regional office in New Hampshire?
