Two Years, Two Days: Happy Birthday to BH

by: Dean Barker

Thu Nov 20, 2008 at 21:11:59 PM EST

Heh - I almost forgot. We're two years old as of two days ago.

So, who remembers the shark fin logo?

Anyway, I feel like I'm stuck in a time loop.  Our first post highlighted the UL telling the NHGOP that they need to remake their party after getting pwned in the election. Sound familiar?

Happy Birthday to Us!

And many thanks to all the Hamsters here who make this place the vibrant community that it is.

And many thanks... (0.00 / 0)
And many many many thanks to those wonderful NH Republican leaders who helped make 2006 and 2008 such great election years for Democrats.

Long live the fin! (0.00 / 0)
Happy birthday, Blue Hampshire!

Dean, Thank You So Much. I Don't Know What I'd Do Without This Site (4.00 / 2)
After NH Insider slowly and unexpectedly went down the (series of?) tubes, this site has been great for when I need to feed my addiction for writing things on blogs.

is there any other blog ? (4.00 / 4)
You are first in the hearts and minds of this State's people. Dean I salute you !

Blue News Tribune has been up for 9 days.

It already gets more comments than Granite Grok.

Hardy Har Har!

Whack-a-mole, anyone?

I'm not sure you should count my comments, but thanks for the plug.

Great job by all of you who manage and keep updating the site. Congrats!

Having learned the hard way (being kicked off BFA after almost five years) (0.00 / 0)
that one can disappear from the blogosphere in an instant, I've been copying and compiling my posts here at Bluehampshire to create a paper archive.

That means I also have to figure out how to paginate because the spouse would be most upset to be handed a document without numbered pages.

Anyway, my two year anniversary won't occur until December 12, by which date it was clear that the electoral efforts of 2006 would just have to be continued.  It's my sense that this was actually more difficult than going forward from the 2004 election.  Reversing is actually more energizing that continuing strong.

Much thanks to all of you who make this site what it is. (0.00 / 0)
Celebratory fun fact: according to Gallup via Rachel Maddow, the Democratic Party, nationally and in general, is polling 21 points higher than the Republican Party--55 to 34.

Oh, that's really good. (4.00 / 2)
That might just make the final cut.

And btw, I am working on a t-shirt design.  I don't know if it'll be ready for the bash, but it's high on my post-election to-do list.

I knew the "sock puppet" reference would take you back to your roots. Plus, we have had our share here. ;v)

As this is a Blue Hampshire celebration, (0.00 / 0)
I think we should start referring to it as what it is: a Hamster Dance.

But something along the lines of "A hornet's nest disguised as a hive mind" ... that concept anyway.

Looking for a closer Frost line (4.00 / 1)
I'm reading New Hampshire again.

It's a long poem but Frost pulls the sleigh and we ride, his meter and occasional rhyme a pure delight. And not dark, this poem - which probably means I have not yet read it enough.

This would do, for my Blue Hampshire t-shirt:

Whereas I never had a good idea
About improving people in the world,
Here I am over-fertile in suggestion
