I've been rather engaged these past few days, focused on calling and sending stamped letters and E-Mails to House members and otherwise doing things for tomorrow's vote on House Bill 73.  So, I haven't been quite "focused" on other news.

When someone sent me a note about Dick Cheney yesterday, I thought at first it was some "The Onion" story -- which are fake news quickies made funny.  It brought a smile to my face, then I dismissed it.

THEN I read it on a newssite.

This reminds me of how I felt when former Presidential Candidate Barry Goldwater (for the young-uns, you might have to Google him), came out in favor of "gay rights," which though limited in scope in those days was a major step toward where we are now.  Actually, gays in much of the country still have to fight for basic rights that they don't have, so Goldwater is still ahead of this time, let alone his time.

It also tells us when when people see our faces and hear our stories -- in Cheney's case, that of his daughter -- people "get it."  WHY discriminate against a loved one, or someone who you see live and in person?

The adventure continues. Let's hope we get to another summit tomorrow.

it didn't stop Alan Keyes from disowning his lesbian daughter.

Jim,  I can't be there in person tomorrow, but I will be there in spirit and I will be sending all my best thoughts and wishes.

Go make history!

Justica para todos.  Justice for all.  Pass it on.

Alan Keyes' Epitaph: (4.00 / 1)
Here lieth the body of Alan Keyes.
In elections he surpassed none;
In batshit insanity he surpassed Dick Cheney.

Tonya Harding ~ Liz Cheney (4.00 / 1)
I noticed ya never see Liz Cheney and Tonya Harding in the same room. Ms. Cheney was dissin' Obama's speech today and I was like, "Who does she remind me of?"

At first, I wasn't going to put this on BH. My FB page is my own, but then I remembered seeing teabaggers with totems of Obama as Urkel. Surely there is a greater resemblence between these two classy ladies, in so many ways.

Watch it Sarah!
