.....now, there is a feature about our own Dean Barker on the first page of Section B ("Local & Regional) conducted by David Corriveau and entitled "Blogging From the Left on www.BlueHampshire.com". They ask Dean how he came to be a New Hampshire resident, after which Dean tells how his students react to "their crusty old Latin teacher" being on the Internet, his goals for the future, etc.
Like most other features of the Valley News, it is not on-line (and not even mentioned in today's online "news summary" section). So here are some money quotes for your Sunday reading pleasure:
"Mike Caulfield, Laura Clawson and I started our separate Hodes-Bass blogs independently and within days of one another" (and decided to join forces in Blue Hampshire only after the 2006 elections).
"Between the Judd Gregg-for-Commerce fiasco and the push for marriage equality": site visits have actually increased since the 2008 elections.
"Mike Caulfield's question for the presidential primary candidates, 'I am the only candidate who....' - was a brilliant way to cut through the spin".
Finally, Dean assures us that he's not planning to give this gig up anytime soon. Why, he went so far to assure us that .....
"My career plan is to leave my home via a pine box - preferably at a later date".
Whew, that's a relief.
Dang, three mentions of BH in a month ... to paraphrase our 'ol pal, Regis Philbin .....
