Law and Order Conservatives

by: Dean Barker

Thu Jul 09, 2009 at 08:39:06 AM EDT

"Conservative voters have an amplified voice in a primary, so that will be a chit (Ayotte will) use, to appeal as a law-and-order conservative," said one Republican strategist who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he may be involved in the Republican Senate primary next year.
Yes, because there were hippies forty years ago, and because some Democrats think capital punishment is a bad idea, Republicans get to own "law and order."

Because the last eight years of the Bush Administration, coupled with six of a rubber stamp Congress, have been a shining exemplar to the principles of law and order.

It's fascinating that "law and order Democrat" isn't an entry in the political dictionary.

(Of course, to be a "law and order" candidate you have to know the law, but that's another story.)

Someone might ask law and order ayotte (4.00 / 1)
whether in light of the recent epidemic of killings by right-wing terrorists we should have paid more attention to the DHS report on domestic terrorism.

Again....Ayotte, with her backing of the chiefs' assocation and policeman's (0.00 / 0)
Will have a trump card...Her ace...Look for WMUR to air her courageously takeing on death penalty opponents at House and Senate hearings...Again and again and again...As she single-handily takes on soft liberals from the SeaCoast and Monadnock regions...As she "saves" real New Hampshire from its brief flirtation with Blue State status!

Kelly "Sweet Deathshead" Ayotte has learned from her 'lected counterparts in the Deep South...Setting herself up not against a congenial opponent like the guitar-playing Hodes...But against a thuggish urban black boy named Addison who shot a brave cop on duty in Manchester...The election will turn on this scenario!

The nickname (4.00 / 2)
I don't think that's a particularly effective nickname for Ayotte. On principle, I don't want to say "Please stop," but, full disclosure, I kind of do want to say that.

If we pile on too much, she will emulate Palin again by citing "attacks" from the far left online (and probably dope smoking socialist) fringe.

We do, somewhat (0.00 / 0)
It's not like "Payotte" is a friendly moniker either. For me it's a question of what I'd rather defend.

Key words: for me. Your mileage may vary, so blog on.

"Law and Order" doesn't mean "Tough On Crime". (0.00 / 0)
Though, neither does "Tough On Crime".

Anyway, if you support the party of actively disregarding the rule of law, you're not a Law and Order anything.  Don't even stand next to Sam Waterston.
