Rolling Q2 Roundup

by: Dean Barker

Wed Jul 15, 2009 at 08:35:12 AM EDT

I'm basically just cutting and pasting these from Pindell as I see them:

Anne Kuster: 163K (that's a month's work; not bad at all.) Some more from the release:

$163,097.00 amount raised from 5/27 to 6/30 (34 days!)
$147,825.35 COH at the end of the quarter
348 out 435 of our contributors are from NH - 80%
Paul Hodes: 740K raised, 859K CoH
Carol Shea-Porter: 120K raised, 211K CoH
Frank Guinta: 110K raised, 92K CoH

If the kids can't bop to it, it's bombsville.

Where are the others? (0.00 / 0)
Inquiring minds want to know!

No'm Sayn?

Hmmmm (4.00 / 1)
Frank Guinta raised less than Ann Kuster?  And she has been in the 2CD race for four weeks?  He's been running in the 1CD for three months, hasn't he?  For someone who was supposed to be the NRCC's secret weapon, that is not too good.

By comparison, for this quarterly report in 2007, Congresswoman Shea Porter had about $255,000 on hand. Jeb Bradley had over $200,000 on hand. This year CSP has about $211,000 on hand, and Mayor Guinta has $92,000.

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."  Franklin D. Roosevelt

I really, really, REALLY (4.00 / 3)
want to see CSP raising more, but at least she outraised Guinta.

Kuster: In It To Win It (0.00 / 0)

WOW!

80% of Anne McLane Kuster's donors are from NH, many of them listed here.

disagree (0.00 / 0)
Thanks for the warm welcome.  I agree Kuster's numbers are impressive and the GOP will have no challenger for her.

As for CSP, I disagree with you guys.  An incumbent only raising 50k from individuals is a bad quarter no matter how you want to look at it or explain it.  I am a centrist and refuse to look at things with rose colored glasses.  If that type of discussion is not welcomed here, let me know.

For instance, Ray, I agree that the UL's piece today was terrible, but Kathy Sullivan's piece the other day was equally bad.  Just calling a spade a spade.  Again, if that type of talk is verboten here, let me know and I will leave quietly.

OK (4.00 / 3)
Consider the benefit of the doubt extended. There are three things trolls always do on Blue Hampshire:

1. Claim to be moderate ("centrist" is a twist on that)
2. Bring up something negative out of context (Kathy's piece was "terrible")
3. Drop hints that we are censors ("if that type of talk is verboten here")

In other words, you raised three red flags in three short paragraphs. Maybe you could demonstrate the left side of your centrism, not deride a former party chair, and not assume we're going to censor you.

The water's fine, but it is blue.

who (0.00 / 0)
I don't know whom the former party chair is, and quite frankly, being relatively new to NH I don't care.  You have shown me a lot about this community and I'll pass.  Consider me a ghost.
