Proud to be from NH-Thanks CSP!

I heard from a friend who was sitting in on a meetings regarding health care reform (they are not from NH, nor is the congressman they work for), that our Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter told a group of stubborn congressman who were unsure about supporting the bill, something to the effect of...

Look, we're all getting attacked back in our districts for supporting heath care reform, but that doesn't bother me. We need grow some guts and pass this bill because this is what people need.

Again, I'm paraphrasing and this is all hearsay, but it really made me proud to have such a bold congresswoman. Apparently it was a pretty heated meeeting and CSP really kicked some butt (and also changed a few minds).

Thanks for having our back CSP!

Umm (0.00 / 0)
If you called this diary "Ashamed to be from NH" and quoted CSP in negative hearsay fashion, we'd be all over you.

So here are a few questions:

1. What was the meeting? A committee hearing?

2. Is there a public transcript of this, or any video?

3. Who, specifically, was CSP convincing?

If you can answer #3, you can forget the first two ...

Not sure. (4.00 / 2)
All I heard was that she was awesome.

Again, I apologize for the lack of details, all I heard was that she was really impressive and that she was sticking up for her constituents in NH.

OK thanks (4.00 / 1)
Full disclosure: I'm wary of the rumor mill, especially on the healthcare bill. I'd like to see more forceful action on it.

I trust CSP, though (and Hodes).

Understandable (4.00 / 2)
I want to see more progress. too.

That's why it was nice hearing that CSP has been fighting hard for the bill.

What bothers me is that good representatives like Hodes and CSP are putting there neck out to do the right thing and getting attacked in their districts  and meanwhile other congressman are wasting time.

I think those congressman should heed CSP's advice...GROW SOME GUTS AND SUPPORT HEALTH CARE REFORM!
