Personally, I'm glad that we're engaging young people in politics in the schools. There's enough right wing propaganda out there on Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, etc. I really think we need more of this in schools because too often parents don't educate their kids about progressive politics, and it's really important for them to understand how wrong the Right is.
Of course the right wing is all over this, forget the fact that Bush addressed public school children all the time with his propaganda, and the fact that the Republicans never said a thing when videos like this surfaced on YouTube with kids singing to George W Bush. What they don't see to understand is that the vast majority of Americans support President Obama's fight for health care for all citizens - even children. It's a great outlet for these kids to show support for the President, and I hope that more schools will do this with their students.
