Even these kids get it!

It's nice to see that at least some schools are teaching kids about health care reform.  Here, students from the Ron Clark Academy are telling adults what they should already know:

And also one of the next related videos to this one shows another good song:

Personally, I'm glad that we're engaging young people in politics in the schools.  There's enough right wing propaganda out there on Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, etc.  I really think we need more of this in schools because too often parents don't educate their kids about progressive politics, and it's really important for them to understand how wrong the Right is.

Of course the right wing is all over this, forget the fact that Bush addressed public school children all the time with his propaganda, and the fact that the Republicans never said a thing when videos like this surfaced on YouTube with kids singing to George W Bush.  What they don't see to understand is that the vast majority of Americans support President Obama's fight for health care for all citizens - even children.  It's a great outlet for these kids to show support for the President, and I hope that more schools will do this with their students.

I ... (4.00 / 1)
... don't trust you. You're subtle, but I have a feeling you're jerking our collective chain.

ummmm..... (0.00 / 0)
I'm not quite sure why you don't trust this.  It's not like I found this on some kook or fringe website (ahem, Fox News).  This was on CNN!!!  If that station isn't mainstream, then I don't know what is.  The anchors were praising these kids, and I am too.  Do you also not trust Wolf Blizter?

No (0.00 / 0)
But with him, it's more his foppish cluelessness.

So... (0.00 / 0)
is your point that I'm wrong about the kids or that evil Republicans have planted these kids to make Obama look bad?  These kids are old enough to know what they're doing in the CNN video at least, and I'm sure if parents were against it, then they would pull their kids out of that performance.  I see no problem with this at all - where am I going wrong?

Republicans are not evil (0.00 / 0)
But you know what is? Glenn Beck trying to make these kids -- who are what, 8? 10? -- objects of national derision.

But that's not enough for you, you have to bring it to Blue Hampshire.

Good freaking luck winning Congress back by exploiting schoolkids.

[ Parent ]
I don't follow what Glenn Beck does (0.00 / 0)
any hopefully, the rest of the country doesn't either.  CNN has rightly made these kids laudable, and I see no reason why Blue Hampshire shouldn't either.

[ Parent ]
and who's "exploiting schoolkids"? (0.00 / 0)
anyone with kids knows you can't make an 8 or 10 year old do something he or she doesn't want to do.  It's hard enough getting them to eat dinner.  You think these kids didn't want to do this?  I think they understand how important health care reform is, and used this as a manner of expressing that.
