Seems a Good Time to Bring This Up

by: Dean Barker

Wed Feb 17, 2010 at 10:12:45 AM EST

For no reason in particular, I am remembering this sage advice from the Union Leader back in 2006:
Rep. Charlie Bass must've sustained a head injury in the "thumpin'" Republicans received at the hands of angry voters last week. He's thinking of a comeback.

What Granite State Republicans need is a house cleaning, not a rearranging of old furniture.

...Finally, Republicans need to find the next generation of candidates. Reps. Charlie Bass and Jeb Bradley are not among them. Start with a clean slate.

Surprise (0.00 / 0)
I'm surprised John Sununu isn't running again.  These guys just don't want to move-on!  Even the old Sununu needs to relax and enjoy his retirement and not upset himself with all these doin's.

If you haven't read Bass's full statement today, you should (4.00 / 2)
I hate to post a link to his site, but you need to read it.  He sounds like a right-wing talk radio show host:

"enough of Barack Obama coddling terrorists . . .their so-called 'stimulus' . . . enough of the Nancy Pelosi-Harry Reid-Barack Obama multitrillion dollar nationalization of health care . . . stop the big-government health care takeover . . "

http://www.votebass.com/pages/...

And of course he brings out old platitudes like "cut government spending, reduce our debt" despite the fact that the national debt was about $4.8 trillion the day Bass arrived in Washington and $8.7 trillion the day he left.

If you do visit his site, you can always cleanse yourself by making a contribution at www.kusterforcongress.com

Charlie Bass was part of the problem, he will not be part of the solution.
