Dem Echo Chamber (0.00 / 0)
Who the hell thinks it's a good idea to write a press release centered around quotes from your own team?
"Who does he think he's fooling?" asked Lincoln's campaign manager Steve Patterson.  "Bill is going to find he can't have it both ways.  Either he is with the majority of Arkansans and opposed to the public option, like Senator Lincoln, or he is with the national liberal establishment that is angry with her right now."

Look, I know the trademed scribblers are too busy or underfunded to go after quotes from real people, but THAT is ridiculous.

I am sick of PRs citing inside sources. It's echo......echo......echo......echo......echo......echo.

DKos: Lieberman's best buddy (0.00 / 0)
kos is hot on the trail:
"Senator Lincoln remains neutral in the Connecticut Senate general election," said her press secretary, Katie Laning.

I sent an e-mail back asking Ms. Laning if Lincoln is sure that's the story she wants to stick to, given that she's on the leadership team on the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) whose mission is to.... elect Democrats.

No response to that.

ConservaDems with a positive tie to Lieberman are marked for life in that chunk of the Progressive blogosphere.

"Neutral" is the same as bi-partisan. (0.00 / 0)
It means you're stuck in the middle, don't know which way to turn, and aren't going anywhere.  The very model of a conservative.

RNC Boo Boo (0.00 / 0)
The Republican National Committee plans to raise money this election cycle through an aggressive campaign capitalizing on "fear" of President Barack Obama and a promise to "save the country from trending toward socialism."

The strategy was detailed in a confidential party fundraising presentation, obtained by POLITICO, which also outlines how "ego-driven" wealthy donors can be tapped with offers of access and "tchochkes."

The presentation was delivered by RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart to top donors and fundraisers at a party retreat in Boca Grande, Florida on February 18, a source at the gathering said.

In neat PowerPoint pages, it lifts the curtain on the often-cynical terms of political marketing, displaying an air of disdain for the party's donors that is usually confined to the barroom conversations of political operatives.

RNC Skipping NH Governor's Race (4.00 / 2)
Not just a major booboo because of the utter contempt with which they hold their donors, it also is a major booboo because it reveals the party's strategy.

Like, for example, New Hampshire's gubernatorial race is not being targeted by the Republican Party(see page 19 of the presentation).  I guess they realize that John H. Sununu's "I Hate NH" tour is not working, too.

Honestly, Blackwater?  Halliburton or AIG would be less upsetting than Blackwater.

Blackwater/Xe has .. (0.00 / 0)
one KICK ASS! shooting range in South Park.
Employees of the CIA-connected private security corporation Blackwater diverted hundreds of weapons, including more than 500 AK-47 assault rifles, from a U.S. weapons bunker in Afghanistan intended to equip Afghan policemen, according to an investigation by the Senate Armed Services Committee. On at least one occasion, an individual claiming to work for the company evidently signed for a weapons shipment using the name of a "South Park" cartoon character. And Blackwater has yet to return hundreds of the guns to the military.[...] A Blackwater lawyer told [Senate Armed Services] committee staff that no one by those names has ever been employed by the company. Eric Cartman is the name of an obnoxious character from Comedy Central's popular "South Park" cartoon.

Somehow, comparing Blackwater to Cartman doesn't seem wrong. (0.00 / 0)
