I received a Michelle Bachmann mailing (w/scan)

by: Ed Tracey

Tue Mar 16, 2010 at 10:54:51 AM EDT

SIGN of the APOCALYPSE - Until circa 1990, I was a registered independent and so I received some wide-ranging political mailings. After enrolling as a Dem at that time, slowly the GOP mailings trailed off - though it wasn't until the past five years or so that they dropped to zero.

(more after the jump) ..

Ed Tracey :: I received a Michelle Bachmann mailing (w/scan)
I never told them to take my name off their lists, as I wanted to (a) let them spend their money and also (b) see who their targets were. Just recently, though, I've received a few GOP mailings - and today I hit the mother lode: your-friend-and-mine Michelle Bachmann sent me a mailing which I have scanned part of: (all emphasis marks are hers).

You can read the full text at this link (less the emphasis markings).

Just don't sign up for her email newsletter. (4.00 / 1)
I did that to a friend once as a joke; she doesn't make it easy to unsubscribe.

This woman belongs in a special place where she can't herself or others.  God help us.

Are you serious? This is such a BIASED source. Read the donor list. "Nough said.

When I see this woman speak, I cringe. (0.00 / 0)
She is an insult to my party, and the fact that she has a following disturbs me. She is nothing more than a series of one-liners with absolutely no substance. And the substance that is usually there is either wrong or crazy.

Ugh. Someone please save the GOP from Bachmann, Palin, Wilson, and the rest of the nut jobs.

Chris,
Forget the folks you've listed. Try working on the likes of Itse, Wendleboe, Elliott, .....

The list ain't short, yo.

Whack-a-mole, anyone?

I was at the Pence (0.00 / 0)
event last night and I drove Sandra Ziehm home. She mentioned that Nancy Elliot was there and I said, "Thank God I didn't know that. I wouldn't have handled that well."

Don't get me started on Elliot (0.00 / 0)
That woman is a damn disgrace. I know a great amount of people who work in the Nashua School District, and it's a fine district.

As a student of the district and an advocate for gay rights, this woman drives me crazy.

Remember when Poppy Bush dismissed (4.00 / 1)
"the vision thing"?  He had a point--maybe the only good one in his thousand points of light.
But, it's telling.  Conservatives are fixated on what they can see in front of them or in their mind's eye.  The other senses (hearing, touch, taste, speech) often seem disconnected from reality entirely.  As a result, their actions are often missteps.  It must be a very disconcerting existence-- making "not doing" the safe alternative.

The response to fear isn't necessarily fight or flight.  Holding very still works, if the predator doesn't see too well.
