Shea-Porter took questions from a highly energized and deeply divided crowd at Bedford. The congresswoman attempted to explain her vote for the health care bill amid shouts of "You're lying!" and "We didn't come here to listen to you!"
This is refreshingly honest.
Those who get their marching orders from Glenn Beckistan have no interest in any information about the health care legislation, even when they have an opportunity to have direct contact with their congresswoman. Their only purpose in attending Carol Shea-Porter's town halls is to try for a repeat of the temper tantrum they threw in August that gave a bored and hungry 24/7 cable news cycle something to film.
According to a reader, someone at the town hall actually railed against Shea-Porter because she voted for TARP. Which, of course, she didn't do. That would be... Republican Judd Gregg.
Reality does not exist beyond the warped walls of FOX News and hate radio right now for the modern-day GOP and its base. The result is a steady increase in anti-democratic, mob-like behavior.
