In Concord, gubernatorial candidate Jack Kimball drew cheers with an anti-tax message. He decried the state's taxation of business while criticizing its relatively low level of services.

"I don't mind paying my fair share, folks," he said. "I don't think any of us do. But I do mind when I'm raped. It's awful."

After he left the stage, Kimball said he was referring to the tax burden on small businesses.

On the other hand, Glenn Beck is his hero, so there's that.

That is a really weird juxtapposition. (0.00 / 0)
Does the comparison of tax to sex suggest that the speaker is conflicted about his gender identity?

On the one hand, he doesn't mind paying for service; on the other he considers himself abused when a service is extracted forcibly.  Which, btw, almost never happens.

Perhaps what he meant was that he doesn't want to be a slave, but that reference would be even more politically incorrect than references to sex.  Or maybe the fellow was just trying to empathize with a population that's subject to rape on a regular basis.

Definitely conflicted.  Guess that's what happens when undigested talking points are used.

That was not a comparison of tax to sex. Rape is a crime of violence, a particularly brutal form of assault.  Calling rape "sex" is beyond wrong.

is breathtaking.  First, we're taxed too much, then we're not getting enough services.  If you want services, Bozo, you have to PAY for them!  He's been watching too much Beck and is afraid that, even in New Hampshire, his "hard-earned dollars" will be taken from him to support brown people.

A liberal listens to a conservative and says "You may have a couple of points there.  Let's try to compromise.

A leftist listens to a conservative and says "Your ideas are ridiculous.  Shut up and listen."
