Small businessman and attorney seeks seat in New Hampshire senate

Laconia - Today, Andrew Hosmer officially filed with the Secretary of State's office as a candidate for the state senate in District 4.  Hosmer is an attorney and small businessman from Laconia with strong ties throughout the Lakes Region.

"I know exactly how difficult this recession has been for Granite State businesses," said Hosmer.  "And I know exactly what we need to do to keep New Hampshire strong and leading the national economic recovery."

Hosmer is an executive manager at AutoServ, his family owned dealership with locations in Laconia, Tilton and across the Granite State. The business, which he runs with his wife Donna, employs nearly 200 individuals across the state.

"In these tough times, taxpayers, small business owners, and New Hampshire citizens deserve a state senator who works just a hard as they do," continued Hosmer.  "In the state senate, I will be an independent voice and advocate for the people of District 4."

In addition, Hosmer is an active member of his local community, serving as Chairman of the Endowment Board of St. Joseph's Church, and coaching youth soccer in Laconia.  He and his wife have four school-aged children, and they have lived in the lakes region for nearly 20 years.

Retiring state senator Kathleen Sgambati will serve as the fiscal agent for Hosmer's campaign. State Senate District 4 includes the towns of Alton, Barnstead, Belmont, Gilford, Gilmanton, Laconia, New Durham, Strafford and Tilton.
