Adrift

The state GOPers who want their jobs back after ruining the country, all on a boat.

With a Texan Republican congressman, an unabashed champion of offshore drilling, at the helm.

You can't make this stuff up.

Is the reporter a Republican staffer? (0.00 / 0)
I don't want to be too harsh, but could Ms Lewis do a little fact checking when she writes a story?  She quotes Barton as saying that Bush ran up deficits of $450 billion, while Obama is running deficits of more than $1 trillion...no mention of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars kept off the books by Bush and Co.

Curious readers would also like to know what Barton meant by the spill being a federal responsibility...would it hurt to ask a follow-up question?  Good grief.

We have few (4.00 / 1)
journalists in NH (and around the country). We have stenographers.  They get paid to write what they are told.  No fact-checking allowed, that's "media bias."

and that's why (0.00 / 0)
someone like Sununu Pere can get away with saying that the Democrats have spent NH into near bankruptcy. No one will challenge this astounding comment.

What's the status of Ms. Nancy Eliot?  She's been pretty quiet these last few months.   I hope there is a good Democratic candidate opposing her if she is running for another term.

Nancy Elliott has left the building. (0.00 / 0)
Her House district has eight seats, occupied by seven Rs and one D.

As of Sunday morning, the Secretary of State's office reports that there are currently eleven Republicans and three Democrats who have filed for those seats.

Chris Christensen, Dick Hinch, and Tony Pellegrino are the only incumbents among them.

Therefore, unless Ms. Elliott filed so late on Friday that the SoS has not yet received the paperwork from the Merrimack town clerk (a genuine possibility, but highly unlikely in this case, methinks), her career in the NH Legislature has come to a terminus.  Irrevocably, I imagine, and dare to hope.
