NH-Gov: Same Sleaze, Different Year

Remember when the NRCC in 2008 tried to help Jeb Bradley win by splashing the phrase "sex offender" next to the name of the person he failed to unseat? It was least honorable political ad of 2008 in NH, imo, and that's saying something considering the gallery of stoopid that normally descends on the TeeVee just prior to voting time.

Same sleaze, different year.  Now John Stephen, who is not polling much better than supposedly non-credible Republican gubernatorial candidates, is trying it against Lynch this cycle.

In other news, New Hampshire is rated the healthiest place in the United States of America to raise children.

Stephen Strategy Becoming Clear: Mislead
News Story on Poll Makes it Clear Stephen Plans to Resort to Falsehoods, 
Attacks on Bipartisan Legislation Supported by Law Enforcement, Republicans
and Even His Campaign Chair, In His Desperate Attempts to Mislead Voters
CONCORD - As Governor, John Lynch fought for and passed tough new laws to increase prison sentences, regulation and monitoring of sexual offenders, and to protect children from online predators. Under Gov. Lynch's leadership, New Hampshire has been named the safest state in the nation the last years in a row.

But the Stephen campaign is apparently determined not to let the facts get in their way.

Today's story in the Union Leader about a Stephen poll makes it clear that John Stephen is trying to see if he can mislead voters about the facts by resorting to falsehoods and attacking bipartisan legislation supported by law enforcement and Republicans, including Stephen's own campaign chair, Jeb Bradley.

"Gov. Lynch has fought for and passed the toughest laws in the nation to protect New Hampshire's children from sexual and online predators," said Pamela Walsh, Governor Lynch's campaign manager. "Gov. Lynch also worked cooperatively with law enforcement, the Attorney General, the judicial branch, and a bipartisan coalition of legislators to develop and pass legislation aimed at increasing public safety by reducing the number of repeat criminal offenders."
