Carol Shea-Porter Must Win

I am a proud New Hampshire Democrat- and Carol Shea-Porter, the Democratic Congresswoman from District 1 must win in this election. Carol, an honest, bighearted progressive fighting the CorporaTeaOns, is doing all that she can for you- and she may very well be in trouble.

Frank Guinta is Congresswoman Shea-Porter's opponent, and Guinta's another nutty Teapublican fighting for the top two percent. Guinta's another deficit hawk who is calling "ObamaCare" a "trillion-dollar spending spree", and is advocating for the closure of the Departments of Energy and of Education- and yet, Guinta's another kiss-up to the uber-rich who supports making the top two percent's tax cuts permanent. As such, Guinta is another GOP member who puts Wall Street above The Other 98%.

On the other hand, the left hand, we have a loyal Democrat. We have someone who fought for the health care reform bill, who fought for the public option, who fought to close the Part D Donut Hole, who fought to end the Pointlessly Long War of Iraq, and who so robustly fought for our elderly population that the New Hampshire Association for Retired People gave her a perfect 100% rating. Carol Shea-Porter, best of all, doesn't accept any donations from corporations or business PACs.

Carol Shea-Porter's voice mustn't be silenced, but it is even more important that her voice isn't silenced by a wingnut like Frank. It's time that we all mobilize behind Carol- and make sure that that woman stays in the Capitol.

SHE doesn't have to do anything.  Candidates for public office are not race horses, much as the media find it more interesting to report elections as if they were.

People who are fixated on being special really should take note because electing public officials is something only mature American citizens can do.  It's the main privilege of citizenship.  So, take advantage of it.

Republicans have put forward yet another punitive pol who secretly thinks the main purpose of government is to punish and can't wait to get his hands on the whip.  The American public, that great beast, is going to be slashed and cut and whipped into shape.
At what point our giants of industry and finance turned into mimosa is unclear.  What's obvious is that the mimosa can stand a breeze better than our private corporations fare in the winds of change. So, there's no alternative but for our public corporations to take charge.
Why does the SBA have to lend money to Main Street?  Because the big banks are scared.
