At The End Of The Day

(I tried hard not to, but at the end of the day I had to promote this.  It's the least I can do after Stephen refused to denounce Cornerstone's disgusting mailer. - promoted by Dean Barker)

On a night when just about any Republican, regardless of qualifications, legal history, IQ, or mental health was elected,  John Stephen still lost.

The third time was definitely not a charm for Mr. Stephen, who has to be one of the most unpopular candidates in NH GOP history. Will he finally take his little pen and go home?

Driving to work I wondered, is John Stephen the (0.00 / 0)
front-runner for the GOP nomination for Governor?

I may have wondered that after he thanked his supported saying "I'll keep working for you, in front of the cameras!" (my entirely fair interpretation).

Then I saw the vote totals.

In a Red Tide, this loser was swimming against the current.

(frontrunner for 2012) (0.00 / 0)

He lost every ward in Manchester (4.00 / 3)
He under performed his mentor, Craig Benson, who took the city in 'o4 but lost to John Lynch state wide. This was despite a daily onslaught of favorable stories and editorials in the UL for days.

Oh, one other thing - Lou D'Allessandro beat Joey Levasseur, which is cool;  I think he has lost five elections, which must be getting close to a record for most unpopular local candidate evuh.

Excuse me, 11 of 12 wards (4.00 / 1)
ward 8

In his mind (0.00 / 0)
I suspect that John Stephen, in his mind, is the frontrunner.  But so is Ovide, in his mind, and finishing out the trio of front runners in their own minds, Jeb Bradley.
