Charlie Bass (0.00 / 0)
Does Bass really believe in global warming? (0.00 / 0)
Did any of you get this invitation:

Health Consequences of a Warming Climate

NH Human Health & Economic Impacts
   Saturday, June 4
   10:00-11:30
   UNH Manchester
400 Commercial Street, 3rd Floor auditorium
   Confirmed Speaker:

   Congressman Charlie Bass

Free of charge and open to the public

I'm sure Rep. Bass understands that global warming is scientific fact... (0.00 / 0)
....he just has to watch his back, because there's a Koch monkey on it.

It does seem odd he would be the speaker. He's not exactly Mr. Environment. Sounds like a PR move -- See, Charlie's not a wing nut, after all.

Chuck's having a town hall meeting (0.00 / 0)
in Milford next week.

He would like us to join him on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Milford to discuss the issues facing our state and nation.

The town hall meeting will take place in the auditorium at the Milford Town Hall, located at 1 Union Square.

This ad is wrong - Charlie Bass has not changed (4.00 / 1)
He's always been an opportunistic lizard.

I think most people find it hard to believe that someone who claims to (0.00 / 0)
want to be their servant would propose anything that would hurt them. They can't imagine why someone would do that. So, they conclude that the charge must be either intentionally false or mistaken.
What I've just realized today is that the relationship between the power of public officials (elected or appointed) and the poverty of the population they "serve" is inverse.  That is, as poverty increases and the ability to sustain oneself is more stressed, the power of the public officials designated to provide relief increases. Conversely, the perceived power of whose who do good, goes down. So, there's no incentive for the power-addled to do good. The failure to solve problems makes them appear to be more powerful.

"Power-addled conservatives are into hurt."

RIP Jack Kevorkian (0.00 / 0)
Lonely crusader for a lonely cause. I believe he meant well, though, and he fought bravely.

The NRCC demands (0.00 / 0)
that WMUR take down this ad.

Comcast refuses (4.00 / 1)
"We've reviewed the materials provided by the NRCC and the documentation provided by the advertisers, and we've decided that the ad does meet our guidelines."
