by: Kathy Sullivan 2

(Kathy breaks the news on BH. Lynch will not seek 5th term. - promoted by Mike Hoefer)

Many familiar faces,
Plus  many little children sitting on floor.
NH press out en mass.
I am standing way in back, near press.
As soon as Governor makes announcement, I will post.

With Dr. Lynch; thunderous applause.

One of his favorite parts of beige gov is meeting with 4th graders.
Will keep working, but not running for re-election.

Kind of Harsh! (4.00 / 1)
I know the governor is never seen as especially colorful, Kathy, but isn't "beige" a little strong?

Thanks and good luck to Gov. Lynch and his family who've worked hard and sacrificed much to keep N.H. on course.

Maybe, yo. (4.00 / 1)
She meant to type "being." Or, it could be that Freudian thing.

Love for NH not diminished (0.00 / 0)
But democracy needs to be refreshed. Time for next generation of leaders.
Talks about accomplishments in education, budget, keeping NH safe, energy, work with families in recession.
Thanks Dr. Lynch, family, staff, commissioners, friends, and most of all people of NH.
Will work hard next 16 months. Still recovering and rebuilding from Irene. Ever student should graduate.
Will work to make state more efficient, help businesses, help workers and unemployed. Will work hard to make positive changes.
NH greatest state in greatest country in world, will work hard to keep it that way.

And that is it.

Thank You, John Lynch (4.00 / 2)
Even the darkest and saddest of days are followed by brighter and happier ones.

And the good news is he's not "retiring."  His voice (and vetoes) will be strong for the next 16 months, and we'll have his leadership and legacy for a lot longer.

LOL (0.00 / 0)
Kelly Ayotte gives all the indications of being a fine senator, a statesperson in the New Hampshire tradition.

A little humor on an otherwise dark day.

Sorry, meant to reply to JimC's comment (0.00 / 0)
but the sentiment is the same nonetheless.
