Logical Conclusion of FOX, Hate Radio

by: Dean Barker

Fri Sep 23, 2011 at 05:58:16 AM EDT

( - promoted by William Tucker)

Behold the logical conclusion of years and years of mass media right-wing propaganda from FOX and Hate Radio.

GOP presidential debate,:

The next GOP presidential debate,:
And last night's GOP presidential debate,:
Applauding hundreds of executions, cheering on the death of an uninsured man, booing an active duty solider in Iraq. Forget the candidates.  This election is about the vision of America most of us know, and a vision pumped 24/7 into our TeeVees, radios, and computers by right-wing media.

This is all I have to say (0.00 / 0)
The last 30 seconds is what flashed into my head last night.

I hope the DNC... (0.00 / 0)
...has the cojones to make a TV ad, flashing these instances, and hammering home the notion in 2012 ads that regardless of how poor the economy is, regardless of whether you are a Republican or have voted GOP in the past, the current GOP has been captured by extremists unworthy of their vote. This is NOT America.  Period.

Somehow  I doubt it though.

Same GOP bigotry I grew up with--Rotten then Rotten Now (0.00 / 0)

Here in NH William Loeb was a bigots bigot and people loved him.

In those days you barely had to hide bigotry against blacks ( everyone knew the code) and bigotry against gays was a virtue.

Not coincidently the GOP was the party of "Law And Order" Who knows how many innocent people were put to death before DNA evidence and memory research that showed conclusively that memory is malleable? (Look up Dr. Elizabeth Loftus)  In other words its pretty easy to manipulate an eye witness. Law and Order needed executions to prove how tough the GOP was.

It stunk then and it stinks now. But in those days they kept the ghouls out of camera range. Debates were elite events and the people who were lucky enough to get tickets were generally civilized. No more.

You reap what you sow.

The GOP created this. (4.00 / 1)
The Southern Strategy started with Nixon.  Play us against each other.  Teach hate.  How to destroy democracy in one easy lesson.  Because without respect for each other as fellow citizens we cannot have a working democracy.  I truly fear for my country, my children and grandchildren, and any hope I had for a peaceful and productive retirement.  As I keep saying, I long to live in a civilized country.

[ Parent ]
Dick Santorum (4.00 / 4)
is a loathsome piece of ....santorum, who didn't serve his country. He lacked even the decency to remind those troglodytes in the crowd that that soldier IS serving his country.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I can testify that the attitudes (0.00 / 0)
expressed are not necessarily created by TV.  FOX merely mirrors the reality and all the glitter makes vice look like virtue.

We like to think that evil lurks in the shadows and is somehow ashamed to show its face.  Not so.  Evil seeks to be noticed.  Indeed, some evil is done just to get attention.

Why do conservative political candidates say outrageous things?  Why are they candidates in the first place?  Because it gets them attention.

Now, the motivation of the people who pull the strings is slightly different.  They're in it for the power.  And, as I keep repeating, power, to be felt, has to hurt.  The problem Rick Santorum's handlers seem to have is trying to figure out which population can be hurt with impunity.  The troops probably looked safe 'cause they signed up to be hurt.  They volunteered, so they can't complain.  After all, Rumsfeld got away with considering them fungible.

DNC ad? (0.00 / 0)
They booed a gay soldier. Support the (straight) troops?

It is very simple (0.00 / 0)
WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL

WHAT PART OF ALL IS HARD FOR THE GOP/CONS TO UNDERSTAND ?

WE ARE      WE THE PEOPLE  NOT ME THE PEOPLE
