WHO IS OCCUPY NEW HAMPSHIRE?
We are unions, students, teachers, veterans, first responders, families, the unemployed and underemployed. We are all races, sexes, creeds and political ideologies. We are the majority. We are the 99 percent. And we will no longer be silent. We are growing. Block by block - city by city. We will see change in this country, in this world.

On October 15, a global day of action against military industrialism and corporate greed, thousands of New Hampshirites will rally at noon in Veteran's Park in Manchester, New Hampshire. There, they will begin an occupation in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street and the over 100 other occupations around the nation. Please join us as a part of this historic movement. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, food, and a democratic spirit.

Free Stater Fingerprinters all over.. (0.00 / 0)
Major attempt to co-opt the movement into a pure anti-govt FSPers dream.  Check out the Occupy NH FB message boards.  A Thelogical Belief that all Bad things Corporate would disappear if government would go away.

I've been accused of 'drinking too much "Progressive Kool-aid" and spending too much time on BH (congrats, guys).

And its been pointed out by one State Rep that because I have changed "180 dgerees in philosophy," I "should not be trusted."

I'll stick to the Occupy Keene group at the moment and let the central-state contingency decide who they want to be...

Politics makes for strange bedfellows (0.00 / 0)
Who said that? It appears to be true with this movement. It's all about numbers in attendance. I've seen lots of statements out there about political neutrality, we're all in this together, etc.

Tomorrow those same folks will be busy demonizing us again. Or, maybe not?? Enabling "liberty" freaks and "porcs" to mingle with normal people in a large, organized group might be a good thing.

But then again, the last time I experienced such a thing, a teabagger threatened to punch my husband in the face.

I've been hearing similar things from another person that I trust in Manchester n/t (0.00 / 0)
He checked out what was going on and also sounded an alarm.

I have no idea what anyone would do about this - inclusivity seems like a core belief of Occupy*, to the point of self-destruction.  Other beliefs, such as the belief that government has the right to tax, for instance, are optional, AFAICT.

Its a sly approach... (0.00 / 0)
None of the FreeStaters see government as a useful tool in curtailing corporate excess.  They see government as causing corporate excess; hence, disembowel government and you remove corporate power.

In as nice and positive a spin as they can muster, the current approach is to say, "Hey, we're a diverse group!  Let's simply learn about the items on which we all agree!"

As Kumbayah as that sounds, it means FSPers get 100% of what they want, and everyone else is supposed to give up on reigning in corporations, give up on expanding the safety net, give up on a fairer taxation system, and give up on financial regulation...limiting them to agreement on bringing the Fed under control and curtailing corporate welfare.

And those who point this out are pilloried for not agreeing to this "unity pledge."

UGH....more pledge politics....

Conservatives are subversive. They also believe that attacking one thing (0.00 / 0)
(e.g. the Federal Reserve) will cause another thing to happen (banks will shrink).
Realists rely on direct relationships.  Letting the Federal Reserve, as an agency of government or subordinate department, manage the distribution and allocation of currency is not necessarily deleterious.  The House, which is tasked with managing the currency, can't conduct day-to-day operations.  What went wrong with the Fed is that playing with interest rates (the cost of currency) was supposed to be the lever by which the economy can be controlled to the liking of our financial (talentless) elites.
Anyway, there are more immediate concerns:
