How great to have it streaming right here on BH! (0.00 / 0)
Trying to keep up with the panel discussion while doing some work, too.  Good points re: the draft and adequate and fair compensating of military.  Can't wait to see how Obama tops this panel.

Feeling hopeful since 2004...

Thanks to those of you who were able to watch (0.00 / 0)
We'll be putting up the highlights of the forum this afternoon.

Why is there no note about who promoted this diary? (0.00 / 0)

Weird. (0.00 / 0)
I promoted, and in promoting noticed that there's now an option that there doesn't need to be a promotion note, but I didn't take it.  But my name was there at first - maybe when the diarist edited at some point it disappeared?

Not quite sure what happened -- I was updating details as each panel began, and the note must have been lost in one of those iterations.

But regardless, we're very thankful to Laura, Dean and Mike for letting us broadcast today.  The third and final panel was on BarackObama.com and a few other sites, but we only broadcast the first two panels here on Blue Hampshire.

For those of you who were not able to watch it live, we have highlights.

If you have an open mind (4.00 / 1)
and some time to see the potential future of American diplomacy, I would highly suggest that you follow the link at the bottom the "Highlights" comment by cmdrfoley.

If you love cspan, this is right up your alley.

I was there today, but I am at a loss to describe the scene without falling back on shrill partisian platitudes.

The clips are great. Real NH folks, real policy wonks, straight talk. Dry, yet compelling and insightful. You will get a true sense of the "direction" Obama will lead America based on the discussion by this foriegn policy team.

There is a true Obama CIOOS moment in there somewhere. Obama's comfort zone, as usual, was bigger then the room.

SGS is Jack Mitchell of Lowell, MA. The symbolism of the "sleeping giant" is based on my HOPE for America.
