I take it she's not the press secretary, because she clearly doesn't know much about the media. She seems shocked that the family got (gasp!) covered just because McCain thinks she should be vice president.

I think they're strategizing -- bright and sunny Sarah, American success story? Or "pit bull" Obama basher?  They need a few days to do some polling on that one. Palin no doubt has her own opinion; my guess is that they fear that the basher persona hurts the other one, if they overplay it.

etc.  We can thank Chris Matthews and others for setting the table for accusations of sexism over their coverage of Palin due to their behavior toward Hillary.  Of course, Palin herself said Hillary was whining, so the reaction of Schmidt, Rove and the others is stunning in its hypocrisy (there is a great Jon Stewart video to watch on that, by the way - here is the link http://www.thedailyshow.com/vi...

In any event, she doesn't need to go near the press; they'll have her giving speeches, rousing the base, and talking to local reporters. I don't think this is about outshining McCain or off message (they need to worry more about McCaihn going off message) or her being dumb (she isn't) or anything like that, as much as it is about playing to her strengths and continuing the anti-tradmed story line.

A senior McCain campaign official tells Marc Ambinder that, "despite the gaggle of requests and pressure from the media, Gov. Sarah Palin won't submit to a formal interview anytime soon. She may take some questions from local news entities in Alaska, but until she's ready -- and until she's comfortable -- which might not be for a long while -- the media will have to wait."

So if McCain becomes unable to assume the duties of POTUS we'll all just have to wait until Gov. Palin is good and ready - whenever she's comfortable with the idea of being president.

Bush turned our presidency into a farce, and now John McCain has turned running for president into a farce, too.

in the next 60 days I want to know everything about Sarah Palin. The Press has a huge responsibility to get out the story, Pentecostal Church and all. Where the hell will I end up, if we only support Israel until Jesus returns ? Is she a true Believer, or just enough for Alaskan Politics ?

This "she can run the state, drop a Bear, drill a well, cook flapjacks, birth' babies--- and slap Barack " theme, calls out for response in the Press.
We need 'a pull no punches' tradmed all nighter.

60 all nighters for truth and justice.

For the next 60 days, we need reporters to do their jobs, not fall in thrall like they did early in Dubya's reign. They gave it up on 9/11, gave the benefit of the doubt to Cheney, Rumsfeld, Feith, Wolfy, et al. McCain was complicit from the first. America needs to know, needs to know, what it is in for with such a one so close to the codes, and 72 year old Hot Wheels McCain in the White House.

The story is that in 2002 Palin and her husband left the more radical Assemblies of God, where speaking in tongues was normal, to join the non-denominational Wassila Bible Church. It is more mainstream, though they believe in the Bible as the literal word of God...a better platform from which to build her base.

That oft-quoted line in the Gospels about the camel and the eye of the needle?

Before it got garbled through the years by socialist-minded distorters of true Christianity, it actually read:

It is as easy for a camel's hair to pass through the eye of a needle as for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

Camel hair being among the finest of fibers, this obviously indicates the sureness of salvation for those whose favor in God's eyes is made clear by how mightily He has blessed them with treasures on earth.

And that whole "Thou shalt not commit adultery" nonsense?  Turns out that when the Oral Law got written down, maybe the rabbis should've switched their emphasis from memorization to penmanship.  One guy messes up and puts an extra scratch on the parchment, and everyone after him starts writing "commit" instead of "omit."

Same thing a couple of commandments later; the real wording is:

Thou canst not beat false witness.

And who do the liberals attack for following God's will?  John McCain.  Typical.
